For some time now, the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries - FIAB, with the support of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade - ICEXand the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Maritime Affairs, has carried out a program of actions aimed at boosting sales of Spanish food products on different markets, especially in the hospitality segments, restaurants, gourmet, as well as in mass distribution.
As part of these actions, the Spanish Food and Gastronomy Seminar has two objectives: one is to support Spanish companies in the sector in promoting together with importers and distributors, while the other is to help companies that are not present in certain markets to introduce their products to them.
The structure of the Seminar consists of a combination of a product exhibition and monographic workshops and tastings of cutting-edge tapas resulting from applying the products to modern cuisine. That is a good tool for promoting Spanish gastronomic culture and presenting the products and their quality.
Subsequently, after attending the IFE India fair for five consecutive years in Delhi, with a group pavilion, and in light of the positive results of the first two editions of the Food and Gastronomy Seminar in India, this year FIAB, with the support of Plan India, will organize a third edition of the Seminar on that market.
The activity described may be financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Funds (FEDER), for which the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade is the executive entity.
