The Economic and Trade Office of the Embassy of Spain in Muscat, on behalf of ICEX Spain Trade and Investment (hereinafter, ICEX) and under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Sultanate of Oman, is organizing the first SPAIN-OMAN INVESTMENT AND BUSINESS COOPERATION FORUM to be held in Muscat on April 29th and 30th, 2015.
The main goal of this Forum, which represents the continuation of the work started with the Business Meeting previously organized by ICEX in this country in 2010, is to provide Omani business people with new opportunities to work with Spanish companies deeply interested in this market, through one-to-one meetings between companies of both countries. This initiative responds to the interest of the Omani Government in developing key sectors in search of economic diversification, which entails important investments in transport infrastructure and utilities development.
More than 40 Spanish firms are taking part in this Forum and 18 of them, carefully selected by ICEX, have specific interests in investment and business cooperation projects, in the following sectors:
- OIL & GAS
- TECHNOLOGICAL SYSTEMS
- TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURES
- WASTE MANAGEMENT
ANNEXE I includes the profiles of these eighteen Spanish companies, with a brief description of their activities as well as their investment or business cooperation projects in Oman.
We would appreciate and encourage Omani companies interested in participating in this Forum to fill out the REGISTRATION FORM (ANNEXE II) and send it, BEFORE THURSDAY 16TH APRIL, to the following address : Omanforum@comercio.mineco.es
NOTE: PLEASE, MENTION ON THE REGISTRATION FORM WHICH OF THE SPANISH COMPANIES YOU WOULD LIKE TO MEET. YOU ARE MOST WELCOME TO ASK FOR MEETINGS WITH MORE THAN ONE COMPANY, BUT PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE REGISTRATION IS THE FIRST STEP BUT DOES NOT MEAN AN APPOINTMENT IS ALREADY GUARANTEED. SINCE THERE WILL BE A SELECTION TO MATCH AGENDAS TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE INTERESTS AND PROFILES OF BOTH SIDES.
The activity described may be financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Funds (FEDER), for which ICEX Spain Trade and Investments is the executive entity.
